Union Minister inaugurates convocation of IIM(K)- 24-Mar-2013
Kozhikode: Union minister of Human Resource Development M.M. Pallam Raju inaugurated the 15th annual Convocation of Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) at its campus in which Lord Meghnad Desai, Professor-Emeritus, London School of Economist was the Guest of Honour.
Raju also develiered the convocation address.
IIMK Director Prof Debashis Chatterjee, said 'striving for excellence is a continuous process and not an end to its means. "We support the values of social sensitivity, meritocracy, environmental consciousness and gender diversity", he said.
At the function 327 Postgraduate Programme graduating students, two Fellow Programme In Management and 234 students from the third batch of the Executive Post Graduate Programme were awarded the fellow titles and diplomas respectively.
The convocation was preceded by the inauguration of the Indian Business Museum by Raju.
The museum intends to inspire aspiring entrepreneurs and show them the path to success through innovative ideas, preseverance and diligence.
The minister also gave away the gold medals for scholastic performance to three PGP students and one EPGP student and also awarded the gold medals for best all round performance to two PGP students.
