West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination MCA - JECA-
Introduction:
West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board conducts a written entrance test, JECA, for admission to MCA course offered by the different Government/Private Engineering Colleges, Universities and Institutes of the State of West Bengal.
Any Indian citizen who have either passed or appearing in the final year of their Bachelor degree examination with mathematics or statistics as one of their subjects in the 10+2+3 pattern is eligible to apply for JECA 2007. There is no age limit for the willing candidates.
Obtaining the Application form of JECA 2009:
One can also obtain the application form of JECA 2009 by sending a request along with a demand draft of Rs. 350/- payable to " ''WEST BENGAL JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION BOARD'' at HOWRAH" and a self addressed envelope (26 cm x 13cms.) by affixing postal stamp of Rs. 40/- to West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board, Slater Hall Bengal Engineering and Science University, Shibpur, Howrah-711103. The requests for the application should reach the Office of the Board on or before 30th March 2007.
Application forms can also be obtained from the selected branches of the United Bank of India on cash payment of Rs. 350/-.These branches of United Bank of India are located at Bardhamnan (Station Rd. Br.) Berhampur, Bolpur, Chinsurah, Durgapur, Darjeelling, Jalpaiguri, Kalyani, Kharagpur, Malda, Purulia, Silliguri, Tamluk and Kolkata & Howarh - College Street, Jadavpur, Shyambazar, Salt Lake (Mayuk Bhavan) and B.E. College Extn. Counter. The forms are available on all working days between 10 a.m and 2 p.m. and between 10 a.m and 12 noon on Saturdays.
