Woman education would uplift a generation: Publisher, Dinamalar, Dr. R. Lakshmipathy. - 17-Aug-2013
Kovai: "If a family needs to develop, woman of the family should be educated. Education of a woman would uplift a generation to rule the world", spoke, Publisher, Dinamalar, Dr. R. Lakshmipathy.
Speaking at the Golden Jubilee function of Sri Rangasamy Naidu, Higher Secondary school, Kovai, the publisher of the popular Tamil Daily, Dinamalar said, "Ones life should move towards serving the society. True life is one that a person leaves behind a legacy of good deeds that others follow. Ones life should be useful to our generation.
Mere hard work and responsibility would help to make wealth, but would not be any help for others. Woman education is a must for the upliftment of the family. Education of a woman would uplift a generation to reign the world. Presently, education is moving towards a wrong trend of commercialism.
In a world where education has become commercial, how is it possible for mediocre parents to educate their children? In memory of my parents, I too run a school in Madurai where nearly 1200 students study.
Further more, we run a Marine College in the outskirts of Madurai. In our educational institutions we don’t get any sort of donations. Every single penny we get is accountable with receipts functioning with all integrity. Though the growth is slow, we are sure that we have a steady growth”, spoke, the Publisher.
Sri Latha, Secretary, Rangasamy Naidu, Higher Secondary school welcomed the gathering. Chief guest of the day, The Governor of Tamil Nadu, Rossiah released a souvenir to mark the occasion of commemoration. Duraisamy, President, Rangasamy Naidu, Higher Secondary School, shared the dias with the digniteries.
The Publisher gave away special awards to few teachers for their outstanding contribution towards education.
