Chennai: Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai organised annual inter B-school fest L’Attitude 13° 05' with this year theme of ‘MUTATIS MUTANDIS – Lead the Change here.
During the inaguration ceremony on Friday, Great Lakes Institute of Management Founder Dr. Bala V Balachandran said, “The country is in need of energy, economic propriety will come only through students. Management students are creating the economic prosperity and conferences like these create a platform for grooming the leaders of tomorrow”.
In his inaugural address D. Shivakumar Chairman and CEO, PepsiCo India said, “If the team is not leading the change there will be no change. A major change is one where the need to learn new behaviour and skills arises. Students should lead the change or be the victim of change because all the change are people intensive and performance positive.”
In his key note address, Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu, Member of Lok Sabha spoke about the challenges that the nation faces in terms of brining the change and insisted that it is the students who can face such challenge and bringing a solution too.
He added, “Brilliant ideas of Indian minds does not go meet its end, but at the same time accept the reality to get a solution. We need to have shared dream to bring about the change and I firmly believe that 2014 is the year of great opportunity for us to break from the past. We should be realistic to know that we should not be over optimistic.”
L’Attitude 13° 05' first kick started in the year 2007 with an objective to groom leadership skills and learning in a fun way by encompassing attributes of management science. This year L’Attitude saw over 2400 registrations from Top B Schools across the country.
