This is a continuation of the previous article on Charles Wallace Scholarship that is offered to Indian researchers and scholars.

Visiting Fellowship for Historians and Social Scientist -  




After scholars of Art and Heritage Conservation, the next important area of studies that attracts Indians to carryout higher studies with the help of Charles Wallace fellowship is Historians and Social Scientist.

There are more than a dozen fellowships to enable academics (historians and social scientists) as well as writers and translators to spend around three months, at specific university in the UK.

Eligibility:

The applicant should:
Be Indian citizens living in India
Be aged between 25 and 45 (there is no upper age limit for translator fellowships)
Have completed postgraduate studies and/or have at least 5 years professional or academic experience
Provide a proposal stating clearly what they want to do at the host institution and how they plan to use the experience on return to India
Not have had a CWIT grant within the previous 5 years

Partners:
There are currently over 15 UK host institutions who offer valuable opportunities (fellowships and other types of residencies) to Indians working in the arts, heritage (conservation or museums) or across the humanities. These include some of the most important contemporary arts organisations, as well as libraries, archives and museums and renowned universities.

How to apply:
As this scholarship is available all through the year, there is no specific date of time to apply. However, it is important find out the institutions intake deadline and apply for both.
