In a time when there is lot of requirement towards Business Analytics, there is growing interest among students to take up studies such as Business Analytics and Data Science.

Realizing this growing demand many leading educational institutions are offering Short Term courses, Diploma, Certificate, PG Diploma courses in Business Analytics.

In this situation three top educational institutions such as Indian Statistical Institute, IIT Kharagpur and IIM Kolkata are jointly offering Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA), a two year programme.

About the programme: Candidates enrolling in this programme get the privilege of spending one semester in each of the three educational institutions and in the final semester they carry out internship or project works to get industrial exposure.

How to apply? The application can be carried out only through online at https://gateoffice.iitkgp.ac.in/pgdba2022/ . The fee for this course is fixed as Rs 24 lakhs.

Future: Students completing this study get good employment opportunities in the specific industry and those willing to pursue higher studies can carry out research activities in the relevant fields or study PhD.

Eligibility: Must have obtained 60 per cent in B.Tech., BE., MSc., M.Com or any relevant UG or PG programme. SC/ ST and differently abled candidates need to get 55 per cent alone.

Selection process: Eligible candidates are selected on basis of marks scored in a computer based test, interview and 12th marks. The entrance test is conducted in 41 cities including Chennai, Kovai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Ernakulum, Trivandrum, Vishakhapatnam, , New Delhi, and Mumbai.
