We would have heard from Human Resource experts that skills are more important than qualification.

There is no doubt that skills are necessary. But, while studying we get the thought about the various skills to develop?

How can a student develop his skills while studying?  Students studying degree courses like B.A, B.Sc, and B,Com should start to acquire additional computer knowledge from the first year itself. For both students of B.A or B.Com, skills in softwares like Tally are essential.

Besides learning accounting packages like this, it would be fundamentally necessary to know about latest office software packages like Enterprise Resource Planning. Students should not worry about their ability in Maths to study such additional softwares.

To study packages like this in computers fundamental skills in Mathematics are enough. Students need not have fears that the standards of Mathematics would be too high.

Students studying science group need to have skills in C, C++ languages. It is good to join the institute only after carefully enquiring about the standard of training provided at the institute. Most of the computer training institutes, initially provide excellent training to the students, and then later do no good to the students.

Whatever group the student may study, it is necessary to possess flawless English. It is advisable to attain skills in English like speaking, grammar, vocabulary and writing skills at least before the completion of degree.

It is essential to get good experience in basic aptitude test skills. Some Private educational institutions have the skill training mentioned here in their own syllabus.

Apart from this, reading English newspaper, watching and hearing news, trying to talk in English is highly essential. It just cannot be acquired in two or three months.

As general knowledge is expected from everybody it is necessary to know the things happening around us. Hence, it is always necessary to have some basic knowledge on history, geography and science. The proverb little drops make an ocean, would be very much appropriate, as for as general knowledge is concerned.

Try to learn general knowledge, playfully. This would stay in our mind for long time and would help to develop General knowledge without much difficulty.
