English seems to be a bitter subject for many as for as competitive exams are concerned.

Although we would have studied this subject from the beginning, we come to understand that it is a foreign language at this point of time. In the preparation for English competitive exams, you should not study grammar as if preparing for school exams. Instead, should spend little more than an hour daily learning new words, answering the English questions of competitive examinations, noting down grammar tips, reading English newspapers, speaking in English, and learning new phrases and idioms.

As for as English is concerned multifaceted training like speaking, writing, reading, and other training is required on daily basis. In this aspect, you can get little confidence only after six months.

Meanwhile, you should not get disheartened that you are unable to improve English. As for as English competitive exams are concerned it is adequate enough if you happened to pass. But, you must be aware of the effort needed to put in for a mere pass.

Good books and guides have been released by Bookhive publications, Ravi-chopra, Upkar to learn English. Further, R.S Agarwals bank guides would also be useful for this. Apart from this, should purchase and do exercises that come in the monthly magazines meant for the competitive exams.
