The National University of Forensic Sciences is an educational institution of national importance functioning under the Union Ministry of Home Affairs.
Significance:
National Forensic Sciences University, the erstwhile Gujarat Forensic Sciences University was established in 2009 with the sole objective to meet the growing demand for forensic experts worldwide. The university is also the world's first university dedicated to forensics, cyber security, digital forensics and related sciences.
It was recognized as an Institution of National Importance as well as confirmed as a central university in 2020.
Campuses:
The University has campuses in Gujarat, Delhi, Goa, Tripura, Bhopal, Pune, Guwahati and Manipur.
Courses:
M.Sc., - Forensic Dentistry - 2 years
Qualifications: Must have passed BDS course with minimum 55% marks from any institution approved by Dental Council of India. SC / ST or differently abled students with 50 percent marks are sufficient.
M.Sc., - Clinical Nursing - 2 years
Qualifications: Minimum 55% marks in B.Sc., Nursing from any institution recognized by Nursing Council of India. SC / ST or differently abled categories are provided with 5% concessions. Must also have one-year work experience per Indian Nursing Council norms.
