Somnath Chatterjee to address convocation of Pondy University-
Puducherry: Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee will address the 19th annual convocation of Pondicherry University at Kalapet, on March 20, a university release said.
Chatterjee and Madanjeet Singh, founder of South Asia Foundation and Goodwill Ambassador to UNESCO, would be conferred Doctorates of Letters (Honoris Causa) on the occasion.
Doctorate of Science (Honoris Causa) would be presented to Dr Mylswamy Annadurai, Director of Chandrayaan-I (ISRO) on the occasion, it said.
Over 15,000 passing out students would be given Masters degree, under graduate degree and diploma in various disciplines, said.
