National Common Entrance Test (NCET) is a national-level examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), on behalf of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), a Statutory Body of the Government of India.
Courses: B.A.-B.Ed.,/ B.Sc.-B.Ed.,
Duration of Study: This is a dual degree course. That is, B.A./ B.Sc. degree is awarded along with B.Ed. When they are taken up separately these studies take five years to complete, while at the same time when taking it as a combined program, it can be completed in four years.
Educational Institutions: The 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) is offered at selected Central/State University/Institutions including IITs, NITs, RIEs, and Government Colleges.
Eligibility: Minimum 50% marks in Class X and Plus 2 examinations. Admission will be carried out base on the scores obtained in the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) .
Entrance Test: NCET is a Computer Based Test conducted in 178 cities across the country. Questions will be asked in 'Multiple Choice Questions' format to test strengths in Language, Core Subjects, General Knowledge and Teaching Aptitude Sections.
Exam Paper: NCET 2023 will be conducted in English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu
