National Institute of Fashion Technology � Chennai (NIFT � Chennai), functioning under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India was established in 1995. At present, totally 16 NIFT campuses are functioning in various parts across the country.

B.Des., - Knitwear Design

B.Sc., - Fashion Communication

B.F.T., - Apparel Production

Post Graduate Courses:

M.F.M., - Master of Fashion Management

M.F.T.,- Master of Fashion Technology

Diploma Courses: Jewelry Design, Fashion Bit & Style, Indian Craft Appreciation, Fashion Retail Store Operations, Fashion Entrepreneurship, E-Commerce Management.

PG, Diploma Course: Apparel Manufacturing and Merchandising.

Certificate Courses ( Continuing Education) : Fashion Knitwear and Production Technology and Design Development for Ethnic Wear.

Educational Qualifications:

For admission to undergraduate programs must have obtained at least 50 marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 12th standard.  Admission is carried out based on the scores obtained GAT- General Aptitude Test, CAT- Creative Ability Test and an Interview. 

Admission to MFM., and MFT programs are carried out based on the scores obtained GAT, Group Discussion and the Interview.    

To join in PG Diploma programs must have cleared class X and XII exams. 

Admission to Diploma and CE programs are carried out based on merit and personal interview.     

5 percent seats are reserved for differently abled persons.
