Common Law Admission Test - CLAT !- 3-Sep-2023

Common Law Admission Test- CLAT is a national level main entrance test for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes. 


Eligible candidates can apply for this entrance exam jointly conducted by 22 National Law Universities.


Courses:


Integrated Undergraduate Program LL.B,


Post Graduate Degree  LL.M.,


Qualifications:


For 5 year integrated law course, 12th or equivalent with minimum 45% marks. 40 percent marks in SC, ST category is sufficient.


Students appearing for the exam held in March/April 2024 can also apply. No age limit.


LL.M., or its equivalent in law, must have passed with at least 50% marks in the undergraduate law course. 45% marks for SC, ST category is sufficient.


Students who are writing the final examination for the undergraduate course in April/May 2024 can also apply.


Selection Process: For UG examinations questions will be asked from English, General Knowledge, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Techniques. 


Entrance exam for master's program will be asked  from various sections including Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Family Law, Criminal Law, Company Law, Environmental Law, Law of Contract.


Change: Earlier students were asked 150 questions in the undergraduate entrance examination. However, in 2024 the questions in the entrance exam has been reduced to 120 questions.
