The NTA (National Testing Agency) administers the Joint CSIR-UGC NET exam on behalf of the University Grants Commission.

Age Limit: To qualify for JRF, candidates must be under 28 years of age. Certain categories, including SC, ST, third gender, differently abled, and women, enjoy a 5-year relaxation. OBC candidates receive a 3-year relaxation. However, there is no upper age limit for individuals pursuing the Assistant Professor qualification exclusively.
