TOEFL, the Test of English as a Foreign Language, is designed to assess the English proficiency of foreign students aspiring to study in English-speaking countries.

Significance:

Globally, over 12,000 universities and educational institutions across more than 160 countries acknowledge the TOEFL exam. Notably, universities and colleges in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, England, and European countries utilize TOEFL scores for student admissions.

Since its inception in 1964, over 35 million individuals from non-native English-speaking countries have taken the TOEFL exam. The test evaluates reading, listening, speaking, and writing skills, assigning scores accordingly.

Selection Process:

The TOEFL Internet-Based Test (IBT) can be taken at authorized test centers or remotely from home. Alternatively, a paper-based examination is available in "Paper Edition" mode at designated centers. The speaking test can also be conducted from home using a computer.

Exam Duration:

In the computer-based test, the reading section has a 35-minute time limit for 20 questions, the listening section is allotted 36 minutes for 28 questions, the speaking section requires 16 minutes for 4 practical exercises, and the writing section has a 29-minute duration for 2 practical exercises. If you complete a section before the allocated time, you can proceed to the next one immediately. Additional time is provided for the paper-based examination.

Exam Preparation:

Effective exam preparation involves rigorous practice. Training materials, including instructions, syllabus details, practice guidelines, and sample questions, are available on the official website. Exam registration is conducted online.
