The Management Aptitude Test, commonly known as MAT, stands as a national-level management entrance examination administered by the All India Management Association (AIMA).
Since its inception in 2003, with the approval of the Government of India, MAT has been instrumental in facilitating admissions to over 600 educational institutions.
Eligibility:
Applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree from a recognized University or College. Final-year undergraduate students are also eligible to apply.
Selection Method:
The exam comprises a total of 200 questions spanning five subjects, with a duration of 150 minutes. Questions are presented exclusively in English, and candidates are awarded one mark for each correct answer while incurring a 1/4 marks deduction for every incorrect response.
The examination is held four times annually in February, May, September, and December, featuring Paper-Based Test (PBT), Computer-Based Test (CBT), and Internet-Based Test (IBT) formats.
Syllabus:
MAT covers diverse subjects, including language comprehension, data analysis, mathematical skills, intelligence and critical reasoning, current affairs at the Indian and global arena.
Examination Centers:
Conducted in 36 centers such as Chennai, Ahmedabad, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Indore, Jaipur, Mumbai, Kochi, Kolkata, New Delhi, and Pune, the number of examination centers may vary based on candidate turnout.
