During employment preferences are given for knowing foreign languages.
If a foreigner is able to greet a person from Tamil Nadu in Tamil, it provides a great joy to both of them. Both are able to communicate between each other. Persons traveling to foreign countries find it easier, if they happen to know the language spoken in the particular country.
