Karunya hosts mega sports event from September 24- 23-Sep-2015
Kovai: Karunya University is to host 23 Evangeline memorial sports competition for colleges of southern states in Indian from September 24 onwards.
The five day sports bonanza will witness sports persons from colleges of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh vying for top honors in games such as Volleyball, Football, Basketball, Hockey and Kabaddi especially for men. For girls, games are limited to Volleyball, Basketball and Kabaddi. Athletics is also part of the mega event for both boys and girls.
This year the university has planned to introduce Badminton for both boys and girls.
To be held under floodlights, nearly 4000 sportspersons are likely to take part in this competition for college students.
To conclude on September 29, fireworks, cultural night would be part of the event.
