Among all the divisions of engineering Aeronautical Engineering is a prominent section. In this field B.E, B.Tech courses are available. Some polytechnics provided diploma courses related to this field. In addition to all this, IITs too provide UG and PG courses in this division.

To join in B.E and B.Tech in the field of Aeronautical Engineering it is essential to have successfully completed plus two in first class. Those willing to pursue this course joining IIT need to write the IIT-JEE, which is conducted every year. It is possible to join Aeronautics course in IIT through this exam. Students writing AIEEE examinations can join deemed universities. 

This course is available in Anna University, Chennai. Apart from this, this course is also available in private engineering colleges. In India, aeronautical engineering educational institutions are available in places like Banglaore, Chennai, Kovai, Dhradun, Gurgoan, Indore , Mumbai, Nagpur, Delhi, Patna and Pune. It is essential to pass the entrance examinations to join in this field. 

Job opportunities: In India, mostly those who have completed Aeronautical Engineering studies work in Ministry of Defense and ISRO. Apart from this, those having completed this study can join in the government aviation sector such as Civil Aviation and  National Aeronautical Laboratory.  

Moreover, excellent job opportunities are available in countries like America, France, Britain and Germany for Aeronautics Engineers. In India, the employment opportunity for this job is very less, as all the airlines have handed over the maintenance work to foreign companies.
