AUD selects over 1,700 applicants for admissions- 7-Jul-2017
New Delhi: Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD) has selected over 1,700 applicants provisionally for admission to its various programmes in both its Kashmere Gate and Karampura campuses.
The varsity offers seven undergraduate courses in — History, Economics, English, Sociology, Maths, Psychology, and Social Science and Humanities.
AUD has selected a total of 364 applicants who meet the criteria for BA (Hons) English course, 324 applicants for BA (Hons) Psychology and 361 for BA (Hons) Social Sciences and Humanities.
"The list is provisional and final admission will be subject to verification of marks and other requisite documents at the time of admission. Offer may be withdrawn in case it is found that any information provided is not authentic," said a release issued by the varsity.
For BA (Hons) Economics, 277 applications have been selected, 156 for BA (Hons) History, 144 for BA (Hons) Sociology, and 130 for BA (Hons) Mathematics.
Three-day admissions for the first cut-off list began today after AUD put out its first list yesterday with highest being 100 per cent for some courses, superseding that of Delhi University's 99.66 per cent.
For students outside National Capital Territory (NCT) with commerce background in XII, the highest cut-off was 100 per cent for B A (Hons) Psychology and History.
Cut-off for commerce and science students was 100 per cent.
The lowest cut-off was 55.75 per cent for BA (Hons) in Social Sciences and Humanities for ST candidates with arts background.
Admissions for the first cut-off will continue for three days from July 6 to 8 between 10 am and 4 pm in the respective campuses alloted to the applicants.
"Candidates can take admission on July 6th ,7th and 8th, 2017 from 10:00 am to 4.00 pm failing which their seats will be allocated to the next candidate," the release said.
