Generally, school examination focuses only on testing the students memory power. Designing a right exanimation process to test the authentic potential skills of students has been longtime challenge for educationist. For this reason, Kapil Sibal, the present central HRD Minister has asked his ministry to promptly bring out a model plan towards this into practice.

Kapil Sibal considers that only through bringing out certain considerable changes in the education pattern this situation could be changed.

World famous Harvard University permits the use of books in the examination as means of reference. However, this method hasnt provided the anticipated results, as this method of finding the appropriate answer using the book seems to be too complicated for the students.

Venketraman Rama Krishnan, the Indian scientist who recently won the noble prize for his contribution towards chemistry told that during his schooling days he was not able to get through the entrance exams of IIT and medicine. Having a close looking into the above mentioned information provides a controversial picture about what our examination process looks into a student.

Soon, India is about to put into practice the act of compulsory education for children. Further, as a part of developing education in the country the central government has also proposed to establish a new separate body, National Higher Education Finance Corporation.  Currently, there are ongoing works are on to rope in private sectors along with the governments effort to develop education in the country.

Currently, the Gross enrolment Ratio (GER) or students joining universities or collges for higher studies after completing schooling is 12.4 per cent.  The government desires to step up efforts to improve this figure (GER) to 30 Per cent and place competent teachers in all the spheres before 2020.

Education in India would begin to develop if these efforts start to give good positive results.
