Tirunelveli: Career guidance and counselling programme was conducted on behalf of Periyar Maniammai University.
Project Director of Chandrayaan I & II Myilsamy Annadurai, talked to the students through video conferencing, appealed them to be like Chandrayaan I, which was performing outstandingly.
Since employment opportunities in the field of astronomy were plenty, the students must strive hard to reach greater heights in this field, he said.
Former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and Dravidar Kazhagam general secretary K. Veeramani also addressed the students through video conferencing.
Vice-Chancellor of Manonmaniam Sundaranar University R.T. Sabapathy Mohan and Chief Educational Officer K. Sasikala, were among those who were part of the function.
