Today, staying in hostel is a common affair for lot of students (boys & girls) for their academic purposes. At the same time, safety is very essential and cannot be compromised for anything.

Here we provide some valuable tips to improve your safety measures;

* Choose your friend carefully. Before, making hostel mate as your friends, try to understand them first.

* Do not stay outside the hostel for long time after evening and avoid coming late to hostel at nights.

* Probably, you might be worried about separation from your family and friends, but forget it. Its time to concentrate on your studies.

* Do not disclose details of your hostel to new outside friends.

* If you face any problem in your hostel, notice it to warden or principal or head master.

* If you feel to share your complicated problems beyond the institutional sphere, do not hesitate to inform your parents and important friends.

* Keep address and phone number of your relative, who are living near your hostel, as well as provide your details to them too.

* Keep only necessary things. Avoid unnecessary and costly things with you.

* It is important to obey rules and regulations of the hostel. If you abide by it, you will be comfortable.

* Give the phone number of your hostel mate to your home and also give your home number to the same person.

* Keep some necessary medicines handy with you. Keep dry fruits and nuts with you as stock to fill your stomach at times of need. Because, your hostel food sometimes, might not be available at the right time or you would not like it at times.

* Do not wear costly ornament. Respect others' safety also while ensuring your own safety.
