Scholarship to students taking up Tamil as 1st language-

The Government has introduced this scheme to encourage students to pursue higher education. This gift amount is conferred to the students of Government, Matriculation and Anglo Indian Schools securing first 3 places at the state level  +2 exams with Tamil as the first language.
1. 1st Place – Rs.15000/-
2. 2nd Place – Rs.12000/-
3. 3rd Place – Rs.10,000/-

Similarly, the gift amount is conferred to students securing first 3 places at the state level 10th standard examinations with Tamil as a first language.

1. 1st Place – Rs. 7500/-
2. 2nd Place – Rs.6000/-
3. 3rd Place – Rs.5000/-

The Government bears the total expenses for higher education of the students securing first place in the state level higher secondary exams for 3 categories (Government Schools – 1, Government Aided Schools – 1, Anglo Indian, Matriculation, Self-finance Schools – 1).

The Government gives Rs.1500/- to the students securing first place at the state level 10th standard exams in 3 categories (Government Schools – 1, Government Aided Schools – 1, Anglo Indian, Matriculation, Self-finance Schools – 1).

Apart from this, the state government bears the entire expenses of the students securing the first 3 positions at the state level higher secondary examinations. Gift amounts are given to students securing first position in every subject at the 10th and 12th standard exams as per the government allotments.
