But, apart from providing the infrastructure insisted by the university in the present competition prevailing among colleges, colleges need to provide the latest facilities and good ambience.

For example, 50 years ago, libraries had just books. The number of books available in the library talked volumes about the institution. But, today, to invite students just books alone is not enough.  Along with air conditioned room, the library needs to be trendy and attractive to students

Interest in Higher education:  Only 5 Per cent of the students today join college with an aim of pursuing higher studies after completing under graduation.  Most of the students join higher education (PG) as they did not get a job.  Its high time to change this sort of trend. Students should willingly take up higher education.  Colleges need to provide the right kind of counseling and training towards this.

Before completing second year of UG studies, students should to take up TOFEL or IELTS exams.  By the end of the final year should write GRE exams obtaining good scores. Colleges need to provide appropriate guidance and training towards this aspect.  Only then, students will soon start following one another.  Later on this will become culture among students.

Instead of blaming the students for not having interest towards higher education, it is important that this change should be brought about by the college.  Teachers also need to be trained towards enlightening the students towards higher education.  Colleges must take up this task, instead of depending upon the government and other higher educational bodies.

Need for change: Studying only the lesson with the objective of passing the exams, certainly changes cannot be brought about later.  It is imperative to give 50% importance to academics and 50% to develop other skills.  Students should undertake several researches and bring out papers about the findings.  They also must involve in many projects.  All the students leaving college after studies should not be apprehensive about life or career, but rather be self confident.

Standards of private educational institutions should be on par with premier educational institutions like IIT and IIM.

Lot of companies seeks students with prerequisite qualification.  Getting job for a student is a very easy task, if you happen to acquire skills needed for the company.

With the number students brought out by colleges every year is more than the required quantity in the market, then claiming Dearth in job opportunities is false. It is not that job opportunities have dwindled but the fact is that enough students arent available with the required qualification or skill sets.   Certainly, there are lots of job opportunities.  Related skill sets are very much needed.  If the students understand this factor, unquestionably the future would be splendid.
