As engineering institutions are churning out good lots of graduates every year, the demand for postgraduate engineering courses has gone up. To manage this competition, the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) was introduced to rate engineering graduates for postgraduate courses and employment.

Engineering graduates who score well in the GATE can enter the top institutions in the country and pursue courses such as ME and MTech. This apart, the GATE scores also count when applying for employment opportunities in government services. Several public sector undertakings such as Indian Oil Corporations, BARC, NTPC and BHEL recruit candidates based on their GATE scores. As a result, the number of students taking up this test has been on the rise.

Ignore the lessons that are out of syllabus.

Stop studying 20 days before the exam and start testing yourself by answering questions or solving problems.
