Prospective graduate and business school applicants from all around the world who are interested in pursuing a master's, MBA, specialized master's in business or doctoral degree take the GRE revised General Test.

Verbal Reasoning Measures your ability to analyze and evaluate written material and synthesize information obtained from it, analyze relationships among component parts of sentences and recognize relationships among words and concepts.

Quantitative Reasoning Measures problem-solving ability using basic concepts of arithmetic, algebra, geometry and data analysis.
Analytical Writing Measures critical thinking and analytical writing skills, specifically your ability to articulate and support complex ideas clearly and effectively.

In the graduate school admissions process, the level of emphasis that is placed upon GRE scores varies widely between schools and between departments within schools. The importance of a GRE score can range from being a mere admission formality to an important selection factor.

The entire testing procedure lasts about 3 hours 45 minutes. One-minute breaks are offered after each section and a 10-minute break after the third section.

GRE scores are valid for 5 years. It can be applied once every 21 days, up to 5 times a year.
