Engineering studies is one which requires regular research and up gradation of skills. Based on this, students should be encouraged to carry out research activities to bring out new findings with guidance of Professors by providing the right infra structure within the campus.

Educational institutions should not function by just providing admission to students and teaching them a designated curriculum. By realizing that research is the mark of development in engineering studies, need to tie up with top multinational companies and establish a research centre inside the college campus itself. New findings would emerge from this centre. Only if importance is given to such new findings, engineering studies would move to next level.

In todays situation, there are lots of job opportunities. But, the sad thing is that the present days youths are not qualified for it. Present curriculum pattern is such that if a student joins job after completing his education, nothing studied in college is related to the work environment. As, todays students are following a syllabus that was framed 15 years ago.

In order to see a change in the situation, all educational institutions including National Level Deemed Universities should follow a uniform Engineering syllabus. This syllabus should facilitate to prepare students for jobs in the industries. It should also give more importance to practical training. For these things to happen there should be a change in the style of governance. Educationist should be placed in top government post that relates to Education.

As the syllabus taught in college doesnt help in any way in the work atmosphere, students go out and learn separately C Language, C++, Java, Gate and CAM. Though some graduates may not upgrade their skills by studying these separately, companies that recruit them provide orientation training for a year and only then put them on the job.

As we dont want our students to face such problems, we provide them additional trainings at free of cost during their course period itself. In association with industrial bodies, soon we are to bring out a research centre with state of art facilities.
