St. Johns college, University of Cambridge, in honour of the Indian Prime Minister has launched the Dr.Manmohan Singh Scholarships. These awards will enable academically outstanding Indian students to come to St.Johns College, to study for doctoral degrees in subjects like science technology, economics and social sciences. Applications in aerospace engineering, marine engineering and energy studies will be particular interest.
Finanical Support
The scholarships are fully funded. They will cover academic fee, international airfare, monthly stipend to cover living expense and UK visa.
Eligibility

Candidate should be an Indian national. He/She should be below 35 years of age as on January 31, 2008.

Candidates should hold a Masters (PG) degree from a reputed/recognized Indian University/Institution with a first class award in the relevant subject.

Candidate should be keen to pursue a full time doctoral research degree from St. Johns College, commencing September/October 2008.

They should be able to display leadership qualities in their personal statements.
