Quaid-E-Millath Government College for Women is an autonomous college affiliated to the University of Madras. It is one of the premier institutions addressing the cause of women's education, catering to the needs of women students for higher education especially from the underprivileged sections of society. This institution was started in the 18th century as a school by the last Nawab of Carnatic. From the year 1974, when it was converted into a women�s college, the college has grown steadily and evolved itself into a prestigious institution with a distinct identity of its own.
