In 1887, Mount Carmel Training College, as we were then known, was founded by Mother Teresa of St.Rose of Lima.
In 1953, we became known as Mount Carmel College of Teacher Education. The name change helped describe and classify our style of education.
In 2000,Mount Carmel College of Teacher Education became accredited by NAAC. This change highlighted our peak standards of stringent discipline, unparalleled academic excellence and outstanding extra-co curricular activities.just for testing.
Today, over 120 students from various parts of Kerala choose to study at Mount Carmel College of Teacher Education because our programmes deliver a high level of real experience.
