Easwari Engineering College was instituted in the Academic year 1996-1997 with the Approval of Govt. of Tamil Nadu and AICTE, New Delhi. Initially the college was affiliated to the University of Madras with unique status of being the first and the only Engineering College for Women in the Univeristy. In reponse to the public demand the college adopted the co-educational system in 2002 (with the approval of AICTE/ Anna University). Since 2002, College has been affiliated to the Anna University as per Government stipulations.
The College offers Seven Under-Graduate Programmes in Engineering and Technology (BE/B.Tech, CSE, ECE, EEE, EIE, MECH, IT and Civil) and Seven Post-Graduate Programmes in Computer Applications (MCA), Business Administration (MBA), and ME Courses in VLSI Design, Computer Science and Engineering, Power Electronics and Drives, Communication System and Software.
