The main achievements of the University in various categories of last year (2001-02) appear as categories A-1, A-2, B-1, B-2, C-1, C-2, C-3. (International, National, Inter Varsity Levels in the Team Games and Individual Performance) Whereas the University has been receiving the coveted Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Trophy for excellence in Sports from time to time, it received a Trophy last year on National Sports Day (29th Aug.�2002), in the Ashoka Hall of Rashtrapati Bhawan from His Excellency, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Azad, the Hon�ble President of India. Besides having received the Award for about 14 times the University was also given a cash prize of Rs. 2 Lacs, by the Ministry of Sports, Government of India.
