This examination facilitates to fill-up 15% seats in State Agricultural Universities, AAI-DU, Allahabad, CAU, Imphal, NDRI (100% seats) and Central Universities having Agriculture faculty namely BHU, Viswa Bharti and Nagaland University for Bachelor degree programmes (viz. B.Sc./B.Tech./B.F.Sc. etc.) in the subjects of Agriculture, Horticulture, Agricultural Engineering, Dairy Technology, Biotechnology, Forestry, Food Science, Fisheries Sciences, Home Science, Sericulture, Agricultural Marketing, Banking & Co-operation, and Commercial Agriculture & Business Management.

Application can be obtained from the offices of the Registrars of 38 Universities and branches of the Syndicate Bank. 

Minimum marks required: The applicant should have obtained 50% for Gen., OBC and UPS, 40% for SC, ST, PH in PCM/ PCA/ PCB/ PCH/ PCMB subject combinations (pass in English compulsory for some Universities).

National Talent Scholarship: Scholarship amount of Rs. 1,000/- per month for U.G. would be awarded to all selected in this examination who join any University in ICAR-SAU system, located outside their state of domicile.

Question Paper: There will be only one question paper consisting of objective type questions in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (or Agriculture) for ''''STREAM�A'''' and Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for ''''STREAM � B''''. The candidates may choose any Stream according to their eligibility and choice of the subjects. The question paper will be in ENGLISH and HINDI.

Reservation: As per norms, 15% seats in all subjects will be reserved for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), 7.5% for Scheduled Tribes (ST), 3% for Physically Handicapped (PH), and 2% for candidates from Underprivileged States (UPS). Reservation for OBC in three Central Universities (NDRI, BHU and Biswa Bharti) will be as per Government of India directives/ University rules.

Educational Eligibility: The candidate must have passed and obtained not less than 50% marks (for admission under General, UPS and OBC categories), or 40% marks (for admissions under SC, ST and PH. Categories) in 10+2 examination. Any candidate having compartment/ supplementary in any subject in 10+2 examination is not eligible for admission. Candidates appearing for 10+2 examination can also apply but produce 10+2 pass certificate during Counseling.  Pass in English in 10+2 examination is essential for admission in some of the Universities.  

Application Forms:
In Person: The forms can be obtained, in person, on payment by cash from Registrars of all 44 Agricultural Universities or from the specified branches of Syndicate Bank whereas the same can also be obtained from 5 ICAR Institutions by payment through Bank Draft. 
 
BY Post: Candidates can obtain Information Bulletin with Application Form by sending a written request (on plain paper) along with an Account Payee Bank draft of the specified amount and also an unstamped self addressed envelope (size 30cm x 25cm).

The Information Bulletins with Application Forms will be available for sale during the months of February and March against Cash Payment of Rs. 400/- + Rs. 25/- (handling charges) for General, OBC and UPS Categories and Rs. 200/- + Rs. 25/- (handling charges) for S.C., S.T. and P.H. categories from the Offices of the Registrars of Agricultural Universities located at (1) AAU Anand (Guj) (2) AAU Jorhat (Assam) (3) ANGRAU Hyderabad (A.P.), (4) BAU Ranchi (Jharkhand), (5) BCKKV Mohanpur, Nadia (W.B.) Information Bulletins with Application Forms will also be available through bank draft of Rs. 400.00 for General, OBC, UPS and Rs. 200.00 for SC, ST and PH candidates drawn in favour of DDG (Education), ICAR payable at New Delhi from the Offices of ICAR Institutes namely (1) Central Agricultural Research Institute, Port Blair (2) ICAR Research Complex for Goa, Ela, Old Goa (3) National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad and (4) National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal.

 
Through Bank Branches: From the following branches of the Syndicate Bank, Information Bulletin and Application Forms can be obtained against Cash payment of Rs. 400/- + Rs. 25/- (Service Charges) for General, OBC and UPS Categories and Rs. 200/- + Rs. 25/- (Service Charges) for S.C., S.T. and P.H. categories.

By Post, candidates from remote places can obtain the Information Bulletin with Application Form by sending written request to the Controller of Exams, Edu. Division, ICAR, KAB-II, Pusa, New Delhi-110012 with Bank Draft of Rs. 450/- (Rs. 400/- + Rs. 50/- towards postal and handling charges) for General, OBC and UPS Categories and Rs. 250/- (200/- + 50/- towards postal and handling charges) for S.C., S.T. and P.H. Categories.

The demand draft must be drawn in favour of DDG (Education), ICAR payable at New Delhi with a self addressed envelope (30x25 cm) without postage stamps. The candidate should write his/ her name and address on the back of the demand draft.

Applications received after the last date will be rejected.  ICAR shall not be held responsible for non-receipt of application within the time schedule due to postal delay or any other reason for delay.
