The PR officers also engage in activities such as offering explanation to the doubts raised regarding the organization, coordinating programs, resolving problems and instilling faith.

Educational Qualification

As a part of the Mass Communication Studies, PR is offered as a subject both in the UG and PG Programs. Generally, Advertisement is given as a subject along with PR. In the UG program, those who do Sociology or Arts courses, by studying this can make themselves better.  Educationists state that PR would be the best choice to those who have the verve and argumentative capacity.  In the PR studies, subjects like Communication, Marketing, Advertising, Research Method, Media Technique, Media Planning, Dialogue Writing, Editing and News Editing are offered.  Direct Practical training in a corporate organization is also provided in this Department.

Opportunities

There are lots of opportunities to those who complete their studies in this Department.  Good jobs are available for them in Public as well as Private sectors, Hotels, Hospitals, Banks, Tourist Centers, Consultancy organizations and so on.  This field is the best choice for those who have novel thinking away from the beaten track.

PR Coordinator is the job to assist the senior employees in Event Planning and Proof Reading, and also the Vice-President.  A person beginning as a Trainee in the Department can get a monthly salary of Rs.3000 to 7000.  Talented persons are likely to get Rs.10, 000 to 25,000.  After a few years of experience, one can get a remuneration of Rs.20000.  For a talented person, Private and Multinational organizations pay more than this salary.
