Chennai: Students of government and government-aided middle schools (6th standard to 8th standard) affected with vision problem would get treated through a novel scheme.
Providing medical treatment to students affected by defective vision, a sum of Rs. 5.38 crore has been set aside, M.K. Stalin, Deputy Chief Minister, said on Friday.
On the whole 24 lakh students would be covered and approximately 2 lakh students would be given spectacles, he said.
