Diploma in astrology from Surat based institute -
Surat: Suryapur Sanskrit Pathshala, an institution imparting education in Sanskrit here, has included diploma course in astrology in its curriculum after it obtained recognition from Somnath-Veraval Sanskrit University of Saurashtra recently.
'Suryapur Sanskrit Pathshala has been imparting Sanskrit teaching for the past few years. Apart from Sanskrit, it also conducts classes on rituals and jyotish' (astrology),' Dr CA Sawaj said on Saturday.
'Recently, we ran classes on Vastushastra,' under the aegis of Somnath-Veraval Sanskrit University, which elicited an overwhelming response from public. Considering this, we've decided to start a diploma course in astrology with the collaboration of the varsity from November 2009.'
The astrology classes will be conducted on every Sundays from 11 am to 1 pm, and its fee has been fixed at Rs 1,500, he said.
