RMAT is a Rajasthan Management Admission Test for admission to the two year MBA course. It was held on 10th June 2007. The medium of RMAT-2007 was English. The fee for RMAT form (Rs.1000/-) includes fee for the entrance test also. The application forms were available at eleven branches of Punjab National Bank (PNB). The RMAT-2007 form, duly filled in the candidates own handwriting was to be registered to the given address or dropped in the drop box at RMAT office or submitted to any of the eleven Punjab National Bank (PNB) branch. In case of an incomplete application form, the candidate was allowed to complete the form by paying Rs. 100/- by way of an Account payee demand draft in favour of RMAT-2007. The test was conducted only in six cities viz., Ajmer, Bikaner, Jaipur, Jodhour, Kota and Udaipur.
 
Eligibility
To take the RMAT, the candidate must posssess (10+2+3) degree or equivalent from recognized University with at least 50% marks (45% incase of SC/ST and OBC candidates). As with most other entrance test, students in their final year of graduation are also eligible to appear for the RMAT but their admission was subject to furnishing the mark sheet of qualifying examination by 31st July 2007. Candidates of Rajasthan domicile only can appear for this test. The domicile status in Rajasthan of any candidate is ascertained according to different criteria. The candidature is cancelled immediately, if at any stage, it is found that the candidate does not fulfill the eligibility requirement.
Test Structure
In 2007, the questions were on Reasoning &Aptitude (40), Data Analysis & Interpretation (40), Mathematical Ability (40), English Language Proficiency (40) and General Awareness (40).
 
Selection Procedure
Admission was based strictly in accordance with the merit in RMAT 2007. If two or more candidates secured equal marks in the written test, then a priority order was considered for prepearing the merit list.

This priority order was as follows:
  • Reasoning & Aptitutde.
  • Data Analysis & Interpretation
  • Mathematical Ability.
  • English Languagew Proficiency.
Even after this if two students had equal marks, then one who is born earlier was given preference. After this admission was made through personal counseling, Schedule of  counseling was displayed on the RMAT website. The Admission Committeee checked the eligibility of the candidate and if found  eligible, only then available seats were offered under various applicable categories to the candidate in the Universities Departments and Affiliating Institutions.
