"Need for curriculum in synchronization with industrial requirement"- 4-Jun-2015
Now a days, some IT companies prefer fresher rather than high pay package expecting experienced persons. They seem to consider that instead of hiring experienced personal it is enough to pay less and hire fresher. Hence, fresher have more opening these days.
On the other hand, parents are apprehensive if their wards would get a job after completing a computer course! In this technological era, if an engineering graduate cannot get a job then who else can get one.
Engineering graduates have lot of opening in other domains too. Nationalized banks and private banks come to the college campus and select students directly offering good pay package. Furthermore, Engineering graduates also prefer to take up civil services exam. This exam would be easy for engineering graduates.
Basic interest:
Students joining college these days get jobs immediately after the completion of four years of studies. Students need not lose heart as they didnt get a course of their interest as nobody can predict the market need after four years. Certainly the situation then will be totally different.
It is very important show interest in whatever you may do; whether it may be studies, job or career. Only if you show interest good result can be obtained in any think. Every day I used to walk 12 kilometers to study as I lived in a remote village. It was all because that I had the interest to study.
More colleges:
More colleges are being given recognition even within a small place without taking consideration of the people. Earlier, each college should be spaced at least between 5 Kilometers. But, today, 3 colleges are given recognition to function within a single campus. Presently, 750 Engineering colleges are there in Andhra Pradesh and 540 in Tamil Nadu
Curriculum:
It is highly necessary to have syllabus that is in accordance with the need of the industry. Syllabus should comprise of the new technology used in the industry depending on the market growth. Syllabus should be prepared by those who have practical and hands on experience on the latest machinery and technology. Only then the syllabus would be good.
