As a result, students with psychiatry problems in colleges too are on the increase. Youths, who are supposed face scores of problems with grit, now getting broken down mentally even for trivial reason is a dangerous sign.
Teacher Parent role: Realizing this, Anna University and Madras University advises all the colleges functioning under its ambit to employ a psychiatry counselor with specialization in counseling. After identifying the problem persisting in the students, right counseling is needed to help the students to come out of the problem. Regarding this, the role of a teacher towards the educational institute is high.
Parents take utmost care of their children until they are in school. They regularly take part in parent- teacher meeting without fail. Their thoughts are all only towards getting high marks. After joining college, parents fail to take care and monitor their children. Parents contribution is very important in the development of their children.
Value added Education: If we possess Hard work, Perseverance and Clear Future Plan then we are sure to be successful. But, many move merely towards narrow plans. In the present situation where competition is very high, to get an appropriate job, everyone needs to upgrade themselves.
Just studying college subjects isnt enough. Each and every student needs to take up value added courses. Nowadays, it is not easy to obtain jobs after just completing degree studies. It is very important to upgrade with add on courses. For example, to get a job with mere B.Com degree is insufficient. Need to complete 'Tally' as an add on course.
Essentiality of research: It is very sad that the number of individuals involved in research and findings are very few in India. Government as well various bodies have allotted huge sum towards research. Educational institutions should utilize it and indulge in research activity in an organized manner. Research and new findings apart from being highly essential for the development of nation, society and educational institutions, it is also indispensable for individuals growth.
If alone our youths show interest and dedication that they now show in Mobile, Computer, Facebook and Television towards studies and developing additional skills the entire world would be astonished.
