In this course students will gain technical knowledge in wood science, pulping, bleaching, stock preparation, paper machines, economics and regulatory issues with understanding of control and measuring devices. Practical application will be emphasized. It gives the students a basic science foundation with courses in pulp and paper technology. This course introduces students to pulp and papermaking technology including equipment, processes and terminology. Topics include an overview of power generation, recovery, woodyard, pulping, paper machine, finishing, and other related topics. Upon completion, students should be able to describe the paper making process and the equipment used in the paper making process.
Duration of the course is 4 Years. Post Graduate in the same discipline is also available.
